St Patrick’s Arva Football Club: Lotto: The Arva Football Club Lotto draw is held in the club rooms on Monday night’s at 8.00 o’clock. There was no Jackpot winner on Monday 5th December - winning numbers were 8 – 16 – 19 – 28 and the following received a €50 consolation prize – Brían Ellis Snr, Drumnawall. John Leddy, Drumroe, Cornafean. Doireann Boylan, Corfree, Lough Gowna. The Jackpot on Monday last 26th December was €2,450. Envelopes can be left in the Letterbox in St Patrick’s Hall next to the National School for collection on Monday evenings and everyone is welcome to attend the draw. Thanks to everyone for supporting the G.A.A. Lotto.
Congratulations are extended to Thomas Brady who celebrated his 21st Birthday last weekend. Mossy was recently voted Cavan Junior Player of the Year – loads of reasons to party.
Gear: There is a limited amount of GAA Club Gear for sale in Arva Post Office – call in and check it out.
The Annual Charity Match was held on St Stephens Day in Michael Cully Park, Arva with a good attendance. It was a chance for the young and not so young players to shake off the cobwebs after the Christmas Dinner. Later in the evening a Party was held in the Breffni Arms Hotel where again there was a great attendance and an enjoyable time was had by everyone. Full details next week.
Arva Ladies G.F.C. Annual General Meeting will be held in the Breffni Arms Hotel and Leisure Complex, Arva on Sunday January 15th at 5.00 pm. All members, players, parents please attend, new members welcome, Juvenile’s welcome - Refreshments will be served.
There were large congregations at all Church Services for Christmas with many people home to spend the festive season with their families.

Launch: Best Wishes to Noel Cassidy who is launching his new DVD in the Breffni Arms Hotel and Leisure Centre, Arva on this Thursday 29th December. Noel will be joined by a host of stars including Gene Stewart, John Glenn, T.R.Dallas, Claire Devine, Ríl Óg, Evening Star, Gerry Guthrie. It promises to be a great night’s entertainment so come along early to be sure of a seat. Doors open at 9.00 pm.
