St Patrick’s Arva Football Club:
: The Arva Football Club Lotto draw was held in the Club Rooms on Monday night last where there here was no Jackpot winner - numbers drawn were 5 - 7 – 17 – 21 and the following received a €50 consolation prize – Aidan Gray, Aughamore Lower. Adel Magarahan, Main Street. Alfie Denneny, Farrangarve. The Jackpot on Monday last 9th January was €2,600. Envelopes can be left in the Letterbox in St Patrick’s Hall next to the National School for collection on Monday evenings and everyone is welcome to attend the draw. Thanks to everyone for supporting the G.A.A. Lotto.

Arva Ladies G.F.C. Annual General Meeting will be held in the Breffni Arms Hotel and Leisure Complex, Arva on this Sunday January 15th at 5.00 pm. All members, players, parents please attend, new members welcome, Juvenile’s welcome - Refreshments will be served.

`The Pitch’ This iconic Gaelic football themed stage play launched a couple of months ago in Croke Park and is currently touring around the GAA strongholds of Ireland will be staged in Ballinagh Hall on Wednesday of next week January 18th - doors open @ 8.00 pm. Starring the brilliant Seamus O’Rourke former Leitrim footballer & Cornmill Theatre actor. “THE PITCH” has really captivated audiences & had them reeling in their seats up and down the country. Arva Area Development Association – monthly meeting of the committee will take place on Monday night next 16th January at 8.30 pm in St Patrick’s Hall, Arva. Arrangements will be made at this meeting for the return of the weekly Sunday night Bingo on 5th February.

Arvagh Comhaltas are kicking off the New Year with the first session of 2012 in Breffni Arms Hotel and Leisure Complex, Arva on this Friday night 13th January. There has been increased interest over the past year with many new musicians and singers joining in on the second Friday of each month. Sessions start for Junior musicians at 8.30pm followed by Seniors at 9.30 pm. A great night’s entertainment guaranteed.
