Div 3 Reserve Arva 3-09 Swanlinbar 0-8Arva travelled to St Mary’s Park, Swanlinbar on Sunday last for a Division 3 Reserve League game with the Arva coming out on top on a score line of 3-9 to 0-8. Arva opened the scoring through a Cian Sheridan point which was quickly followed by points from Bryan McEntee and a goal from Richard Keith. Swanlinbar then replied with 3 points. Dean Harrington and Niall Fox pointed twice for Arva while Richard Keith found the goals again to leave it 2-4 to 0-3 at half time.
The second half started with Arva finding the goalposts first through Niall Fox. The home side replied with 2 points while Shane Bouchier made a great run up the field and found the back of the net for Arva. Conor Barry followed this up with a point on 7 minutes. It was a further 10 minutes before the scoreboard changed with a Swanlinbar point which was cancelled out by an Arva free from Fox. Swanlinbar pointed again but Arva sub Raymond Daly responded with a point. Swanlinbar put the ball between the posts again only for Daly to fire over the bar again to give Arva a well deserved victory.
